Get ready to party like it’s the 80s. Join Sand Stew Inc. for Back to the 80s Party Night, a sober retro experience on Friday, May 2nd at Bridge to Hope Peer Recovery Center in Southbridge, MA. Doors open at 8:00 PM, and we’re bringing all the neon vibes with DJ Anonymass, a totally rad atmosphere, and a night full of fun—all for a great cause. A $20 suggested donation helps support Sober in the Sun. So dust off your leg warmers, tease that hair, and let’s dance the night away.
In Loving Memory of Chuck Beauregard
With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Chuck Beauregard on February 11. Chuck was a beloved member of the Sober in the Sun community for 27 years, dedicating his time, energy, and kindness to the people around him. He served as President of Sand Stew Inc. for a time, but his service to others extended far beyond any title.
We chose to wait until now to share this news publicly out of respect for Chuck’s family, allowing them time to process their grief privately. Our thoughts remain with them as they navigate this difficult time.
Chuck was the kind of person who never needed recognition for the good he did—he simply showed up, time and time again, always ready to lend a hand. Whether it was guiding someone new in recovery, helping with festival setup, or just being a steady presence for those who needed support, Chuck embodied the true spirit of selfless service.
His humility, generosity, and unwavering kindness left an impact on all of us. Sober in the Sun will not be the same without him, but his legacy lives on in the community he helped build and the countless lives he touched.
Rest easy, Chuck. You will be deeply missed
